First Parish's Statement of Faith
Believing the Holy Scriptures to be God's revelation of Himself to mankind, and to have been given by verbal inspiration, we accept the New and Old Testament as our only infallible standard for Christian faith and practice. Thus, we believe in one God existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was and is true God and true man, that his death was a substitutionary atonement for the sins of the world, that his crucified body was physically resurrected from the dead, and that he ascended to heaven at the right hand of God, whence he will come to judge the living and the dead.

Our Ministry Partnerships
True Sojourners is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to blessing and empowering the people of the “hard places” of this world with tangible demonstrations of love. We accomplish this through a series of unique development projects that are all done in partnership with local leaders who direct each initiative.
The Root Cellar is a Christian mission with goal of uniting the local community in common cause of satisfying the physical and spiritual needs of inner-city youth and their families.
